Back for more MUD on Saturday, June 20, 2015!
Siouxland's muddiest, messiest and only growing mud run fundraiser is back!
The 3rd annual Dirty Bird Mud Run takes flight:
The 5K and Family Courses will be muddier than ever...but new this year: The Family Mud Challenge! Your flock of four can compete against other families in a timed race across obstacles while completing tasks and crazy, muddy challenges! Prizes for the fastest, the dirtiest, best team name and more!
The Dirty Bird is a mud-lovers event with challenging obstacles that will test even the toughest old bird and most hardcore hawk, but varied enough that even those just recently out of the nest will have a blast.
Set along the banks of the [Muddy] Missouri River in Ponca State Park, the Dirty Bird offers the most unique, beautiful and fun courses found anywhere in the country.
All proceeds benefit youth sports, summer camp and other youth programs at the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA.
Last year's Dirty Bird saw over 550 runners and participants from five states flock to Ponca to traverse tires, an awesome zip line over the river and of course, lots of mud! Thanks to all participants and sponsors for helping raise more than $32,000!
